The later models, including the 2015, 2019, and 2020 Ford Escape model years, have shown significant improvement in reliability.

In addition to the Ford Fusion, the recall also impacts certain 2015-2018 Edge, 2017-2019 Escape, and 2017-2019 Lincoln MKC and MKZ models equipped with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine. These vehicles may exhibit similar problems, such as a low coolant level, white exhaust smoke, and rough engine performance.

This class action alleges that the EcoBoost Engine in certain Ford and Lincoln vehicles were designed by Ford with a dangerous defect, thereby potentially causing a lethal hazard.
